I agree, I think this thread got taken off onto a tangent as I started questioning not Galinas position that men should pay for a date but her reasoning, which I'm told may have been some miscommunication with what she meant and how I read the translated version but I think we're universally agreed on the man paying for the first date, first few dates etc. The paying for perpetuity like it is their birthright to be supported is what got our backs up but my questioning Galina seems to have made this into men don't want to pay ever position and that certainly isn't the position I take. Each relationship dynamic is different, both halves of it have to find out what works for them, some relationships work when just the man is paying the bills and others don't so figure that out together.
