Wouldn’t you say in England it’s normal for people to buy gifts for the person there dating?

In England normal gifts people wouldn’t say someone was trying to buy love?

If we’re talking Gold and expensive cars and louboutin shoes and Rolex watches then it’s different...

Also if someone just buys out of kindness and the other person thinks there trying to buy love then is this not the ultimate insult?
