Helga, you sound a little unkind. Yes, of course there is absolute truth and you should already know that. I once told you the truth has an inherent value of its own. Lies must work very hard to defeat truth and sometimes have an elaborate plan; often, the only thing truth must do to defeat lies is to be present.

The Times article helped me understand some things I previously did not think about; it did not reveal all the secrets of Russian culture. Not necessary for you to understand; you already know. Even as knowledgeable as you are, I still think you would enjoy my picture books. Many of these pictures are spectacular and have never been published. That sounds like something you would enjoy.
