I'm new on dating

I have written to some girls and they seems serious, but they always write that I should call them. I have made some calls but they never reply. Can this be harmeful or a scam to deduct money from me? I feel a bit stupid because I want to trust them. But always the same thing. Please help me. /Br Tommy
