Hi Tony. Your concerns are partly justified, especially relating to tough economic situation for many people from FSU. So there might be the "fight for survival" motivation driving some ladies here. On the other hand, many of Slavic women are really suffering from the lack of men (especially useful men - in the positive meaning) and honestly looking for a proper partner.
There is also sometimes the attitude like: "let's see what that man has to offer and if things are promising, love and affection will establish." You know, kind of: how can anyone be romantic, when fighting tough for existence.
Another point: a lot of losers from "our side" is fishing here, trying to find a willing "victim", who would take care of him. Just as there are women around here, who are trying the scammers scheme - just to get papers or some grip on the social institutions in the West. But, you know, there are also enough women in the West, who are trying to get pregnant by a dummy and let him pay for her living for further 20-30 years.

So, what's to be done? How about a Buddhist monastery? No? Well then, my advice is: open your eyes, read the profiles, get in contact, read between the lines, talk on Skype, make a trip and meet the lady. And don't switch the common sense off. Then they are great chances to meet the person you can live with.

Ah, one more word about divorcing statistics - in Germany/Switzerland, they are anyways about 50%. So, marrying is either way dangerous: one half will get divorced, the other half will die....)))
