I have a good friend who works as a cellular therapist and helps to treat people with blood cancers. He has surely been having some symptoms for a long time.
My advice is to move on to another person. He was not honest from the start and it is suspicious that he will not give you details. He may even be lying completely about having an illness to hide the fact that he has met someone else.
