Tom, thank you for your sympathy, for not being indifferent to the Ukrainian events. I completely agree with you that we may have lost our independence on 17 December. Yanukovych has sold the nation for a meal-ration. He is an evil anti-Ukrainian president. He has lost trust in the world and gained the doubled anger of the Ukrainians. Putin just took a chance. We call it a raid. The problem is worse because almost half of the nation support Yanukovich. They believe he brought stability and saved the country from a default. People even can’t understand that he ‘saved’ economy for maximum 1 year to win the president elections but now home and foreign affairs of Ukraine are dictated by Putin. What can be done? First, the deputies will try to restore the former constitution, according to which the president is not able to have so much power as Yanukovych has now – a total control of the country. The democratic way of struggle is impossible. Secondly, the protests won’t stop. People are angry! We are crying, he deceived everybody.
