According to another post, it was indicated that the first husband was an American citizen, and so I thought he was the father of the child. In any case, it seems quite odd for an older man to make such a proposal - he easily could find the youthful American woman (as did George Clooney). The difference here is that on paper a man can appear to be quite wealthy but the debts and expenses and responsibilities owed to family can be easily "sheltered" or concealed from a foreign national/future spouse.
