When you generalize, let me generalize too😉..
I think men from Holland are emancipated, not macho, and serious about their intentions.
When you decide to join an international dating site, you have to accept that after a correspondence of several months, a first meeting is not the same as a meeting with a man from your own city.
When you would date with a local man, after 1 or 2 weeks corresponding, you meet him and drink a cup of coffee together. When there is a match, you have diner together. Third meeting is visiting a concert, 4th meeting, first kiss, fifth meeting.... Sex? Who knows, everybody has his own timing.

International dating is different. The normal procedure as discribed above has to be compressed in a few days. This man makes a lot of efforts to meet you in your city.
This first meeting is crucial for the future. Will there be a next meeting or not. Both sexes know it...
Suppose he joins you during 3 days, and both feel there is a good match, they talk, spend time together, fall in love and know the next meeting will take place several months later.
I think it is not " strange" that sex takes place.
Man and woman are adult, nobody forces them....
When the woman is not ready, she can simply refuse and it will not happen.
But sometimes sex says more then 1000 words, and can express feelings you cannot communicate....
