Years ago I traveled to and met the woman from Novosibirsk, and remember being very grateful of her to receive the knitted scarf. In addition to being the useful article of clothing in the cold climate, placing the scarf around the man's neck and shoulders is a warm and welcome gesture during a first meeting. Generally, I think the most touching gifts are the ones created by the woman's own hands. Sadly, few women in my country know how to sew, cook, compose, craft, and they simply do not consider the creative gifts.
