If the point of this story was to show how men should behave it missed the mark. I was a speaker at a conference last year and 25 of us went to dinner after my talk. When the bill came, I paid for all 25 at the table. Men and women. A real man doesn't just take care of 1 woman at a group event, he takes care of the table. If you're taking care of just the woman, you think she either can't afford it, or you want something. There is a right way to treat people and a wrong way and no professional woman I know would let a man step in to pay for just her while everybody else had to cover their own bill. That is ridiculous. Most would be offended that I'd even make that offer in that situation and I'd probably end up sued for harassment lol
