Wow so much hostility.... but you all seem to know little of the facts here...Faroe Isles are autonomy from Denmark in their domestic policies and we have no way or as little a way as your nations respectivly stopping them killing Whales not dolphins. personally i disapprove of whale killings and advocate against it, like most Danes, but this is a Faroe Isles domestic issue...Marius the giraffe - was unsuitable for breeding and you cant have 2 male's in a pack, because they will fight and as a young and weaker specimen he would loose
Copenhagen zoo signed an agreement forcing them to that decision. was it made public and offensive - yes ..short term i agree it was brutal act.
on the long term i hope people will get their eyes open about animals, if we discuss animal well being and rights - how about the thousands and thousands of animals that are mutilated in farms around the world and pets, killed because they grow big or undesired ... By the analogy of what you written so far: if Russia has a higher kill rate on dogs.. we should hate Russians as the dog haters .. C'mon get out of your stereotypical type casting and at least try to separate the steak from the peas.
"And Janteloven - Dane moral code. Where there is the moral code of the builder of communism Soviet times! In the Danish Janteloven clearly states that every person - a person important to society, all people are equal, and the greatest pleasure in life - to do any business together.
That is exactly what will treat you your husband - of course, if he is a true Dane not only on the passport, but in spirit!"
No janteloven is a mean system of oppression, that was deeply rooted in generations older than myself - i would say we today are humble because of it and aware of it, but by no means is it a code you can build a modern civilized society that Denmark is -if everyone walked around with those rules:
Не думай, что ты особенный
Не думай, что ты в том же положении, что и мы
Не думай, что ты умнее нас
Не хвались тем, что ты лучше нас
Не думай, что ты знаешь больше нас
Не думай, что ты важнее нас
Не думай, что ты хорошо что-то умеешь делать
Не смейся над нами
Не думай, что нам есть до тебя дело
Не думай, что ты можешь нас чему-то научить
