There are free websites for "pen pals" to help each other learn foreign languages. I'm not sure how well that approach would work but some of the sites are very popular. I would send you a link but I do not think the admins here will approve that...

Also, search YouTube for videos from Russian/Ukrainian speakers teaching English or maybe from a native English speaker that also knows Russian/Ukrainian. This way you can hear the words spoken. I did this in order to learn a few words in Russian before my trip to Kiev. One video, in particular, I must have watched 30 times or more. It's a good, easy, and free way to at least get started. The education quality is not the best but the price is right. 😉
