I’ve been going mainly to Ukraine since 2016 and when I was dating a girl I decided to start to learn Russian for the reason it’s spoke all around Eastern Europe and in most Slavic country’s if they acknowledge it or otherwise understand you when you speak in Russian. It’s best to learn Russian first then learn the Ukrainian equivalent... вина is wine for example very simular to the Italian Russian word for wine... but when a western man makes that extra effort it puts smiles on faces!! By learning Ukrainian first it will both mixed you up and speaking to a Russian will think you’ve lost the plot,,, it’s important to know the difference allot of Ukrainian words there’s only a slight different sound or ending
