Hi Alina ,
Well , he can get a document , at the city or regional administration , in which will be stated , what his current civil status is now!!If he is married or divorced. This is an official document and is a proof of his single or married status.
He should bring it for you , so you can check it.
Furthermore , he can have it translated , by the Russian embassy in Italy , into Russian.Of course , he will have to pay for all these documents.
But then you will have the proof , that he is serious , and that you can marry him.Just be careful though.
If you will get married in community of property , you will also be responsible , for any debt , or loan , that he may have at the bank.
So , just be careful , and do not go into this , in a rush.Ask him , about his financial means , his salary and if he has any property.
If he has a mortgage , and if he still pays for it!!
These are all important matters , and don`t think about them lightly.
And ask him , if he wants to relocate to Russia , to live with you , or you must go to live in Italy.Maybe if possible , with your daughter.
You 2 have already met in person , several times , yes ???If not , how can you be sure , that you are compatible ???
Eric
