I agree to a point and would rather be rich and unhappy than poor and unhappy, but would rather be poor and happy than rich and unhappy. I know people who have more than enough money who are not happy and this life is too short to not enjoy it. Also money can buy poverty as many undisciplined lottery winners can attest. The incidence of lottery winners going bankrupt is quite high.
Of course, this means two things. First be happy and then become rich. And make sure you have a financial plan, whether you win the lottery or not. Getting down off my soapbox now...
