A woman can be strong in many ways, but as for the type of woman you offer as an example, to me, it is a matter of the personality. A woman can be strong, as you describe, and kind or mean. Some Western women seem to confuse strength with being rude, obnoxious and disrespectful. One thing that seems universal is that the most important thing that a man needs from his woman is respect. If this "strong woman" has a disrespectful attitude, then it is not a matter of being afraid, but rather being repulsed.
