I would have done the same thing! 😊 Would have politely backed out the door! Hahaha! In general, I look for 45-years plus because I don't want to insult anyone who is younger! 😊 I think ladies put those ages in there for a reason; so they don't have old guys like me writing them letters! 🙋

In the US, my neighbor is 35-years younger than her husband! 😔 That is uncommon here, but they love each other. Would not be my first choice, either (unless stranded on a desert island!) She is a very good cook! 😀

Ralgar (63) used to complain here that younger women used to lied to him. How young? Twenty-five! Wanted to know how to tell if a girl is lying to him? I told him, if she's 25 and you are 63, she's lying! 😀 Hahaha!

Sometimes we see someone much younger who is very attractive and interesting, lots of common interests, but it's often easier to keep looking rather than try to crash a perceived "age barrier", even though we don't always know what that is. 😏 I approach everyone here the same way. Do you want to be friends? Difficult to be anything more if the friendship thing is off the table. If I say hi, does not mean I'm angling for a better position, but sometimes in the course of making friends, you find much more. Just my opinion.
