God decided to visit a man and reward him for his faithfulness. He appeared to the man and asked him what he would like.

The man thought for a minute and then spoke: “God you have been generous to me and my family, I have everything I need; I am grateful, but I can’t think of anything more I could want. But God insisted. “I will grant you anything you wish.”

The man thought for a minute and finally spoke. “God I have always wanted to visit Hawaii, but I am afraid of flying. Is there any possibility of you building a highway that starts in California and ends in Hawaii, so that I may simply drive my car there for vacation?”

God replied, “My son, of course I can do anything, but do you understand what an incredible amount of engineering that would require, and the enormous amount of materials and labor to construct such a bridge? Hawaii is thousands of kilometers from California. This is an incredibly difficult feat for which you ask! Would you consider possibly a project that would be a little easier to perform?”

The man thought for a moment and then spoke. “God, you are correct; that is a big thing to ask. Forgive me for being so bold; perhaps something simpler.”

“Lord, my wife and I have been married many years. Most of this has been good but we have often had conflict and distress, bickering, arguing and complaining. Maybe I have not been a very good husband, but I have tried. Perhaps you could share some wisdom that would help me have a better understanding of women and possibly improve my relationship with my wife?”

“Sooooo…will that be a 2-lane highway or a 4-lane highway!?” ))))
