From all that I have heard, read and seen women like to ask that question "where or when can we meet?" and react hysterically when you ask for further contact details, such as skype, viber, whatsapp or similar.
If you're serious about your intentions, you can wait with discussing a meeting until you have seen each other on camera and heard the voice. Both are important carriers of information and communication.
If your first response is "when will you visit me", there is a natural impulse to withdraw.
To make a very extreme comparison: how would you react, if a man who is serious about a relationship immediately replies to you "do you want to get married" (even if you want a family, it would make you run a mile, if this question comes too early).
