Reading profiles

Why is it that after spending hours, days and longer to craft a humorous, accurate, informative, easy to read and understand profile, with plenty of pictures, are the first questions "where do you live?", "what is your job?", "what do you like to do?" ... It is my understanding that profiles are translated into the user's language. Mine was written with that in mine. I filled in every blank. There are two places where my living location is placed by the system. Is it that they can't read their own language? They don't bother to read anything? It would be easier for me to reply with a form letter! My profile is now trimmed to the minimum. Can you please tell me what the problem is and where it is?
